Mary Parker

9 year old Mary Parker is the highlight of Mountain View, Arkansas. Only being involved in music for three and a half years, she is playing like a pro. Mary took music instruction through our Music Roots program as well as private lessons with some of the areas finest teachers Roger Fountain and Shay Pool. After mastering the fiddle, Mary went on to learn mandolin, piano, guitar, bass, and clawhammer banjo. Not only does she play all of these instruments with perfections but Mary can also clog dance while she is playing! She is the 2013 Cherokee Nation Small Fry Fiddle Champion. She plays regularly at the Ozark Folk Center with Odell Jackson, Roger Fountain, Mary and Scott, and Twang. You can catch her during the daytime playing out at Mellon’s Hole in the Wall Theater or around the Courthouse Square and Pickin’ Park. Don’t miss a chance to see and hear this fabulous entertain.
